WOMEN'S MERIT

We have plenty of other matches outside of the BUCS leagues, including friendlies with local teams and merit festivals. Despite the fact that we have two BUCS teams this year, we continue to hold our place in the Merit League, giving even more opportunities for development for those who are not confident to play league games.

Matches & Training

Matches take place at merit festivals throughout the season and merit players train with the other two women's teams. The games at these festivals are stop-start and are a great experience, especially for players who may be new to the game.

Merit matches aren’t as competitive and therefore are a fantastic opportunity for players to improve their rugby skills, learn more about the rules and find a position they enjoy. Merit festivals can often also involve extra coaching on the day and assistance from the referees.
